Worship & visitor information

St Katharine's Church is part of the Savernake Team, which consists of 13 churches. The Savernake Team is part of the Pewsey Deanery, which in turn is part of the Diocese of Salisbury. We are currently recruiting for a new Team Rector  and then for a new Team Vicar, following the retirements of our former Team Rector, the Revd Nicolas Leigh-Hunt, and Team Vicar, the Revd Rodney Harrison MBE BA. In the meantime, our Rural Dean, the Revd Mary Edwards, who is also a Team Vicar, will be leading our clergy team, in conjunction with her non-stipendiary colleagues.

During the period of these vacancies there may be some disruption to our normal pattern of services.

Usual pattern of services

A service is usually held at St Katharine's on the first four Sundays of the month. For those months which include a 5th Sunday, a Sunday service is held either at St Katharine's or at one of the nearby Team churches.

1st Sunday
6 pm Evening Prayer (BCP)
2nd Sunday
11 am Matins (BCP)
3rd Sunday
9:30 am Parish Communion (Common Worship)
4th Sunday
11 am Holy Communion (BCP)
5th Sunday
9.30 am Cluster Service (Usually Common Worship)

These service times may vary as a result of Team events, clergy availability and other matters, so for specific services, please check the service details below.

Parking and access

There is plenty of parking outside the church. Please drive carefully as you approach the church as the road is very narrow and there are often children, horses, dogs, etc – not to mention other cars and the odd pothole - in the road.
